This error is only presented from the front end of the component, ie. the public aspect of the Joomla website.

Thats all I can tell you based on what you've supplied. If you can provide the basics as detailed in the FAQ on "How to get help" we will have a better chance of being able to help you.

I installed easyTable 1.0.3b on Joomla 1.5.20
PHP Version: 5.2.13
Database Version: 5.0.51a-community

In the admin area is the link to this component.
I click on it (there is only one menu item for this component)
I do not have any tables set yet.
Now I click on New to add a new table.
Add Table opens.

I find Details not yet filled with data

Code: Select all
Table:
Alias:
Description:
Image Directory:    No Directory Set
Published:    No   Yes
Select a NEW CSV file:
First line of CSV file contains column headings?   No   Yes

Table ID: 0
State:
Unpublished
Structure: 0 fields
Table:jos_easytables_table_data_0
NO_DATA_TABLE_FOUND_FOR_jos_easytables_table_data_0!

Created:
Friday, 30 July 2010
Modified: Friday, 30 July 2010

After I filled the fields, uploaded a cvs file and saved it I can not publish and the "NO_DATA_TABLE_FOUND_FOR_jos_easytables_table_data_0" remains

Hi,
you've probably done this, but just to checking, after you've clicked on the "Choose File" button have you clicked on the "Upload File" button before clicking on the Save/Apply buttons?

From the FAQ, it's Step #5 in Creating A New Table section of the EasyTable Editor Explained (Part 1) article.

If that's not it I'm at a loss to explain it - usually you would get an error message from which ever step went wrong.

Cheers

Thank You,
that was my mistake! I had to upload first.

And cvs file should be like this

Header1, Header2, Header3
Data1, Data2, Data3
Data4, Data5, Data6

Regards

Next point is after I made a menu item to the table

Warning EasyTable List View Empty
No fields selceted to display in list view for this table

So again my mistake, as I had to enable all this.

Have to remember that there is a lot of enable things ;)

Is there btw a plugin to show the table in an article?

Hi Finc,
at this point there isn't a plug-in but it's a much requested feature. So one will eventuate after EasyTable Pro gets to 1.0.

v1.1 of the components will be aimed at getting 1.6 compatibility and some other hotly requested features like a content plug-in.

Cheers
