FC8 Notes:

EasyTable FC8 can be installed over the top of previous versions. EasyTable shouldn't be uninstalled first - doing so will remove all of your EasyTable data.

FC8 specifically is more verbose in it's install and un-install processes as it makes some structural changes to the main table in the database that links all of the EasyTable data sets together.

FC7 and FC8 have improved triming of white space or invisible characters at the start or end of field data ie. spaces, carriage returns, tabs etc are trimmed. This affects field linking - prevoiusly users were unable to link apparently matching data such as "California" = "California ". If you look closely there is an extra space in the quoted right hand side of the equality sign. If you are experiencing this problem delete the EasyTable and re-create it using the FC8 or later version of the component.

FC8 Fixes:

• Removed mistakenly duplicated controller code.
• Restored data escaping for embedded single ' and double " quotes in CSV data
• Fixed and issues with hidden columns showing in linked table data

FC8 Additions:

• Preliminary Version checking implemented
• Searching is now specific to each EasyTable
• Searching can be turned off/on for each table - submitted by David Truog
• You can now reliably link fields/columns that are not shown in list/detail views.
• Column data is trimmed more reliably for invisible characters that could break linking.
• When a table is first imported the columns are sorted in the same order as the CSV file.
• Enabled and expanded custom install and un-install scripts
