  1.00 Additions:

  • Pagination Controls can now be turned off. When pagination is turned off, the first 100,000,000 records are shown.

  FC9 Notes:

  EasyTable FC9 can be installed over the top of previous versions. EasyTable shouldn't be uninstalled first - doing so will remove all of your EasyTable data.

  FC9 Fixes:

  • fixed mistaken call to JError when call to version server failed
  • fixed minor typo in setting default parameters passed to 2 display functions.
  • fixed surrounding DIV of list view - ID value is now valid eg. < div id="easytable-table-alias" >
  • corrected < p > to < h2 > in line with standard Joomla CSS.
  • fixed payload XML to put base en.language file in the right location (prep for moving all admin strings to language file)

  FC9 Additions:

  • Added alternating classes to table rows in List View, first row now has a class='row0' then 'row1' then 'row0' etc.
  • Added Search preferences to menu creation

  FC9 Rewrite:

  • Table Searching moved to correct Joomla params for better flexibility & operation with menu creation
  • EasyTable table reverted to original schema.

  This sample CSV file lists the Presidents of the US with their "home state" at the time of election.

  The home state can be used to link to the "geographic area" of the sample file of US Regions, as shown on our reference web site.

  The related zip file "US Presidents Portraits" contains portraits for each president and a matching thumbnail which can be used to display in the table.

  FC8 Notes:

  EasyTable FC8 can be installed over the top of previous versions. EasyTable shouldn't be uninstalled first - doing so will remove all of your EasyTable data.

  FC8 specifically is more verbose in it's install and un-install processes as it makes some structural changes to the main table in the database that links all of the EasyTable data sets together.

  FC7 and FC8 have improved triming of white space or invisible characters at the start or end of field data ie. spaces, carriage returns, tabs etc are trimmed. This affects field linking - prevoiusly users were unable to link apparently matching data such as "California" = "California ". If you look closely there is an extra space in the quoted right hand side of the equality sign. If you are experiencing this problem delete the EasyTable and re-create it using the FC8 or later version of the component.

  FC8 Fixes:

  • Removed mistakenly duplicated controller code.
  • Restored data escaping for embedded single ' and double " quotes in CSV data
  • Fixed and issues with hidden columns showing in linked table data

  FC8 Additions:

  • Preliminary Version checking implemented
  • Searching is now specific to each EasyTable
  • Searching can be turned off/on for each table - submitted by David Truog
  • You can now reliably link fields/columns that are not shown in list/detail views.
  • Column data is trimmed more reliably for invisible characters that could break linking.
  • When a table is first imported the columns are sorted in the same order as the CSV file.
  • Enabled and expanded custom install and un-install scripts
